This is the first time I am doing Pilates, what advice would you give me?

Pilates is all about moving; using the correct muscles while focusing on breathing with each movement. Sounds easy right? In fact you’ll find it a good challenge. Stick with it, it only gets easier and like anything it takes a few sessions to find your rhythm.

If you are completely new to Pilates, we recommend a few 1:1 classes so you can find your feet and prevent yourself from injury. Your instructor will show you the foundation of Pilates so you are more up to speed in the classes.

We plan them around you! So you can join after work or so that the other parent can look after the kids!

Monday’s 6:30 – 7:15pm
Wednesday’s 5:30 – 6:15pm

Send us a contact form, text or email of the class you would like and why you’d like it at that time and we can see if we can facilitate it now or in the future.

We have provided the classes above as these are the most popular times based on our current members.

  • Pilates Mat– (note we do have a spare mat if yours does not come in time, but please try and bring your own if able)
  • Resistance Bands – if you have not been. issued some in physio and are unsure we have spare ones again and you can purchase them from us if you’d like your own set of 5!
  • Some water – as you will be working hard!

Something you feel comfortable in. Nothing too baggy or you’ll get lost in your clothes but that does not mean it has to be skin tight either. Tracksuits/shorts or leggings.

Bare in mind, you will get hot, so you may want to be able to take layers off if you wish.

Yes, of course. The more the merrier. Their first class will also be free to trial it out!

Just let your instructor know so they can ensure they have space in the class.

Maybe try out a physiotherapy session before trialing Pilates? Your physio will ensure you are safe to get on and off the floor. Alternatively, we have a Seated Pilates Class you can join. Get in touch for more information.

We accommodate for beginners, intermediate level and advanced Pilates people! You will be given 3 options of most exercises to follow.

You can go at your own pace, your instructor will keep reminding you that it is not a competition and to go at your own pace and take rests where you need them!

If you are unsure or new, find your feet with a 1:1 session session with your instructor first

Yes, we have a charity based Seated Pilates class which runs on Thursday’s 2:15 – 3pm

We will be soon be running a therapeutic Tai Chi class – date and time TBC

All of our classes are run by Physiotherapists who will know how to manage your conditions.

Book a physiotherapy appointment and your Physiotherapist will recommend which class will be best suited for you.
