Sports Injuries

Understanding about sports injuries

Whether you’re a boxer, hockey player, runner or footballer. Our sports physiotherapist has met other members of your sport before and knows the ins and outs of your sport. Rehabilitation can sometimes be tedious and timely…

With sports injuries, sometimes the issues are more complex than they first appear, so if we need to take a creative approach to diagnosing or treating the injury, we’ll always keep you in the know about the details of your rehabilitation.

To make it more fun and for you to find it easier to fit your rehabilitation into your day to day, we take the time to get to know you and your routine. This way, we can ensure the best and quickest results. Sport is life, it gives us purpose and we do not want to keep you away from it for too long. But it’s also key that we avoid re-injury.

What you can expect from us:

Our sports physiotherapist will wean you back into your sport using objective tests designed to clear you as safe to return to play. We cannot prevent all re-injuries – the nature of sports means that injury is always a risk. But as part of the end stage of your rehabilitation, we do a full body screen of all of your joints to make sure that you’re less likely to need to come and see us again. Yes, we would like to see your lovely face again, but if there’s a cost of your getting re-injured then we would rather say our goodbyes!
